Bio

I am a lifelong fan of science fiction and fantasy novels of days gone by. Having devoured Isaac Asimov, Heinlein, Clarke, Tolkien, and their ilk on a weekly basis, my mind tends towards applying complex, impossible themes to the pedestrian obstacles of modern life. If a zombie walked into the room, or a spaceship landed in my backyard, I wouldn’t soil my pants or run in circles in a blind H.G. Wells-ian panic. I would simply ask, “May I help you?” 

I began my writing career as a teen, starting numerous science fiction and fantasy novels (including flifferschmeep!)—but finishing none of them. My writing career then pivoted to drafting legal briefs as a lawyer in the Philadelphia area. Finding that the legal profession may stifle all signs of creativity and squelch all attempts to be unique, I continued to use creative writing as an outlet. After almost 40 years, flifferschmeep is my first completed novel. 

One down, seven to go.

When not writing or working my lawyer job, I can often be found spending time with my teenage kids, performing on stage, puppeteering, writing music, singing, or amateur video-editing videos—activities that, unlike writing novels, are more likely to result in a finished product.

I am currently an officer of Profundo Bono, Delaware’s theater group comprised entirely of judges, lawyers, and people in the legal profession. We do a show every two years, and this year, our 11th show will be a stage adaptation of flifferschmeep.
